ER Cores (also called EER cores) are an inexpensive choice to buy for inductors and transformers. The shape of the cores assure minimum winding resistance and optimum efficiency. However, ER cores are more expensive than E cores even when their productivity is lesser. They are available in a variety of sizes such as EER2811, EER2811A, EER2811B, EER3511, and EER3913. Common applications for EER cores are differential inductors and power transformers.
Pros
- Economical
